NCDVTMH recently launched a new 10-part webinar series: Building Trauma-Informed Services for Children, Youth, and Parents Impacted by Domestic Violence. The series is designed for advocates and supervisors, as well as mental health clinicians. Through this series, participants will learn practical strategies for supporting survivors and their children to address challenges, build their resilience, and heal from the traumatic effects of interpersonal violence.
The series builds on a core curriculum, Children Exposed to Domestic Violence, written by Patricia Van Horn, PhD, in collaboration with NCDVTMH. It offers practical tools, tips, and discussion guides for creating trauma-informed child and family-centered programming.
This series will be presented by Susan Blumenfeld, MSW, LCSW, Child Trauma Training Director at NCDVTMH.
All of our webinars are free. Webinars will be archived and posted online within 2-3 weeks of the webinar date. Some programs have had success watching our webinars together and scheduling time to discuss as a group.
In addition, NCDVTMH has recently launched a new web page devoted to housing our webinars and other resources related to supporting children, youth, and parents impacted by DV.
