Part 2 in our series on responding to Mental Health Crisis.
This webinar will engage participants in considering community-based mental health peer support services as a resource to support people in our programs who are experiencing emotional distress. We will look at the alignment between domestic and sexual violence advocacy work and the principles and practices of peer support. Introducing the Trauma-Informed Legal Advocacy (TILA) Network!

Thursday, September 29, 2016 | 2:00 – 3:00 pm (CDT)

Hosted by: National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma & Mental Health

Presented by: Rachel White-Domain, JD, National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma & Mental Health

Join us for this one-hour information session to find out how you can participate in the new TILA Network, designed specifically for attorneys and legal advocates who work with survivors of interpersonal violence, and to be launched late Fall 2016.

The TILA Network will connect advocates and attorneys who are interested in increasing their own trauma-informed legal advocacy skills, integrating TILA materials into their own agency’s trainings, and contributing to the development of the TILA Project as a whole.

The info session will include (1) an overview of the TILA Project’s framework; (2) a description of plans for the upcoming launch of the TILA Network, including options for participation; and (3) an opportunity for participants to provide feedback on how a TILA Network might best meet their needs.
