This webinar highlights the collaborative effort between the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma & Mental Health and the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center in partnership with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence during the past five years. The webinar offers practical strategies, lessons learned, and cultural approaches to incorporating a trauma-informed approach to DV/SV services. Panelists will discuss the efforts of coalitions to engage tribal communities and coalitions and to support member programs in doing ACDVTI work. Presenters will discuss their initial thinking about embarking on a trauma-informed capacity building initiative, the processes involved, the challenges they faced, the evidence gathered, and their reflections on the changes they have seen over time.
