Substance Use/Abuse in the Context of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Trauma is a comprehensive curriculum and training module. Authored by Patricia J. Bland, M.A., CDP and Debi S. Edmund, M.A., LPC, and edited by Erin Tinnon, MSW, it is designed for advocates and their community partners to provide trauma-informed training on substance use and abuse in the context of domestic violence and sexual assault. The module is designed to be flexible, offers a variety of options, and is based on over 20 years of experience, research, and feedback from survivors / survivors in recovery and advocates implementing these training techniques. This manual is rooted in the experiences of survivors, survivors in recovery, and their children.
